Tennis Dash uses simple, intuitive controls that work on every device:
Your goal is straightforward: return every shot your opponent sends your way. Each successful return earns you points. Miss a shot, and the rally ends. The longer your rally streak, the higher your score multiplier climbs.
As you score more points, the difficulty ramps up. Opponents hit faster, place shots in trickier positions, and give you less time to react. Surviving long rallies is the key to topping the leaderboard.
Your racket follows your mouse cursor or finger position. The key is anticipation — watch where the ball is heading and move your racket there before it arrives. Reactive play works at lower levels, but as opponents speed up, you need to predict trajectories.
The angle at which the ball hits your racket determines the return trajectory. Hitting the ball with the center of your racket sends it straight back, while catching it on the edges produces angled returns. Use this to place shots where your opponent can't reach.
Moving your racket at the moment of contact affects shot speed. A fast swing adds power to your return, while a slower, more controlled motion gives you better accuracy. Finding the right balance between speed and precision is the core skill of Tennis Dash.
Each consecutive successful return increases your score multiplier. The multiplier resets if you miss a shot. This creates a risk-reward dynamic: safe returns keep your streak alive, but aggressive angled shots can end rallies faster — for both you and your opponent.
After each return, move your racket back to the center of the court. This gives you the best chance of reaching shots hit to either side.
Pay attention to your opponent's racket angle before they hit. It telegraphs where the ball will go, giving you a split-second head start.
Don't go for aggressive angled shots right away. Build your rally streak with safe, centered returns. As your multiplier grows, then start taking calculated risks.
If you have both a mouse and a touchscreen device, try Tennis Dash on both. Some players find touch controls more intuitive for quick reactions.
Deliberately hit the ball with the very edge of your racket to create extreme angles. This is risky — you might miss — but it's the most effective way to score unreturnable shots.
Alternate between fast power returns and slow controlled shots. This disrupts the AI opponent's patterns and can create openings you wouldn't get with consistent play.
Instead of reacting to where the ball is, move to where it will be. Top players read the trajectory arc early and position their racket along the predicted path before the ball arrives.
